CASI shortlisted for National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards
The Group's CQC Service Manager, Tina Stuart, has been shortlisted for the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards 2018 for her leadership work in supporting some of the most vulnerable people on the Isle of Wight.
Tina manages two Group residential care homes on the Isle of Wight and our Domiciliary Care Agency (DCA), which helps more than 130 people across the Island remain independent in their homes. She has over 25 years’ experience working with those with mental health issues.
Tina is known as a strong and supportive leader and manages a team of more than 90. She regularly supports customers face to face, working early and late shifts.
Tina’s hard work is one of the reasons our services on the Island are rated highly by the Care Quality Commission, and her approach helped the team scoop a ‘highly commended’ award for best employer support at the Skills for Care Accolades Awards this year.
Outside of her professional role, Tina is an advocate for elderly care though volunteer projects, including helping out at the Alzheimer’s Café, which supports those whose lives have been affected by dementia.
The awards ceremony will be held on 29 June in Birmingham.
