Southern Housing Group supports UK Housing Review 2015
Southern Housing Group has supported this year’s UK Housing Review, published by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), which shows the fragmented state of the housing market.
The UK Housing Review 2015, which is in its 23rd edition, brings together evidence from a range of sources to assess the health of the UK’s housing system.
Southern Housing Group has sponsored this year’s review along with other housing associations, charities and government agencies.
Speaking about the report today, Tom Dacey, Chief Executive said: “The Group is pleased to contribute to this valuable and insightful publication, which provides an authoritative, unbiased and reliable analysis of the UK’s housing market.
“There is still a shortage of affordable, quality homes, so housing associations and their partners will need to continue to play a key role in meeting the needs of communities.
“It has never been more important to have a real understanding and focus on the challenges affecting the housing sector. We need an informed, evidence-based housing strategy that addresses the issues of affordability, opportunity and choice.”
The CIH is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards.
