The Gardening Neighbours grant fund encourages our customers to transform disused communal areas into green spaces. It awards up to £500 to help fund gardening projects that bring people together and make a positive impact on their communities.
As a gardening helper, you’ll be using your knowledge and experience of growing and maintaining plants to help other customers with their gardening projects, making good use of your passion for gardening and enthusiasm for working directly with a wide range of customers.
You’ll be working with a group or individual local to you, providing advice, guidance, and hands-on help with their gardening project.
What will you be responsible for?
Giving advice and information to customers to help them grow their own plants and produce
Giving hands-on help, such as preparing a piece of ground for planting or helping build plant boxes
What you need to know:
An induction, training, and ongoing support will be provided.
Days and times are flexible to suit your needs.
This role involves working with vulnerable people, so would not be suitable for anyone who is listed.
This role would be appropriate for anyone aged 16 or over.
